Currently, he serves as the principal conductor of the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra and the musical director of the Zarzuela Season in the Canary Islands.

Between 2017 and 2023, he held the position of assistant conductor to the principal conductor of the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra. During this time, he also served as the conductor of the Gran Canaria Youth Orchestra and as the artistic director of the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra’s School Concerts Season.

He holds an advanced degree in violin performance (Castilla y León, 2007) and choral conducting (Canary Islands, 2012). Between 2012 and 2017, he pursued orchestral conducting studies at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold under the tutelage of Maestro Karl Heinz Bloemeke and at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden, where he trained with Maestro Georg Christoph Sandmann. He earned a master’s degree in orchestral conducting from the latter institution.

He collaborated with esteemed conductors such as Karel M. Chichón, Daniel Oren, Alessandro D’Agostini, José Miguel Pérez Sierra, and Ramón Tebar. Furthermore, he has contributed to prominent opera houses and seasons, including the Opéra National de Bordeaux, the Lithuanian National Opera, the Tenerife Opera, the Las Palmas Opera, the Pérez Galdós Theatre, the Cuyás Theatre, the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, the Paris Opera, and the National Opera of Szeged. His repertoire spans a remarkable array of titles, including *Così fan tutte*, *The Magic Flute*, *Il Barbiere di Siviglia*, *Carmen*, *Rigoletto*, *Nabucco*, *Aida*, *Cavalleria Rusticana*, *Tosca*, *La Bohème*, *La Traviata*, *Don Pasquale*, *Roberto Devereux*, and *L’elisir d’amore*.

He has conducted an extensive repertoire of zarzuelas, including *Doña Francisquita*, *La Revoltosa*, *El dúo de la africana*, *La del manojo de rosas*, *La Dolorosa*, *El barbero de Sevilla*, *La Verbena de la Paloma*, *La hija del Mestre*, and *Luisa Fernanda*, among others.

He collaborates with renowned soloists such as Ermonela Jaho, Ludovic Tézier, Jessica Pratt, Roberto Scandiuzzi, Arturo Chacón, Yulia Matochkina, Nino Machaidze, Daniela Barcellona, Ivan Ayón Rivas, and the acclaimed pianist Ivo Pogorelich.

Among the orchestras he has conducted are the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra, the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra, the Granada City Orchestra, the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Gaetano Donizetti Orchestra, the Udine Symphony Academy Orchestra, the Detmolder Kammerorchester, the North Czech Philharmonic, the Nuribom Young Chamber Orchestra, the Neue Lausitzer Philharmonie Görlitz, the Elbland Philharmonie Orchestra, the Dresdner Kammerphilharmonie, the Erzgebirgische Philharmonie Aue, the Slovenian Radio and Television Orchestra, the National Opera Orchestra of Budapest, the Lithuanian National Opera Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra of the National Theatre of Szeged.

In December 2022, he undertook a “jumping” performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 3, stepping in for K.M. Chichón during the subscription season of the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has balanced his role as an orchestra conductor with his work as a music editor under the Mercurio Editorial label, dedicating himself to the recovery of various pieces from the Canary Islands’ musical heritage. In addition, he has an extensive repertoire of his own arrangements and compositions for orchestra, choir, and vocal ensembles.

Future Projects: In June 2025, he will conduct *La Traviata* by G. Verdi as part of the Lanzarote Opera Festival. In September, he is set to direct the zarzuelas *La Revoltosa* by Chapí and *El dúo de la africana* by Fernández Caballero during the XXXIV Canary Islands Zarzuela Season. Additionally, in November, he is scheduled to record the album *Tiempo del Alisio, sonidos de lava y sal* with the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra.
